Metal as F**k : Metalhead : ‘Vintage Sabbath’
Remember how everything was better in the OLDEN DAYS? Whereas THESE DAYS all the stuff can barely survive being looked at.
THESE DAYS phones are so flimsy when you turn them sideways they’re invisible. Computers can be placed in the laps of jam-sucking toddlers who can actually use them because the interface is so FRIENDLY and music can travel through the air and down a cable without taking up any space whatsoever.
In the OLDEN DAYS telephones were sturdy enough to be used as bludgeoning weapons in lethal hand-to-hand combat, a computer occupied several LARGE ROOMS and could only be operated by SCIENTISTS, and music was pressed into wax discs and required the PHYSICAL CONTACT of a needle to play. Fast forward was achieved by stamping on the floor.
If you yearn for things with assured weight, tangible sturdiness and a solid presence that promises to remain long after you’ve quit the mortal coil, then the Vintage Sabbath is for you.
